Pebble Beach, CA — Great rounds of golf are often described as artistic—graceful, expressive, and beautiful to witness. At Pebble Beach Junior Golf (PBJG), we believe golf is not only a sport but a canvas for creativity, self-expression, and community connection. In that spirit, PBJG is proud to announce the launch of the Pebble Beach Junior Golf Artist Series, a new initiative that fuses the worlds of junior golf and visual arts.
Led by PBJG board member and creative visionary Stephen Malbon, the Artist Series invites local youth artists to create original renderings inspired by upcoming PBJG events, venues, and the broader impact of our programs. Each piece becomes the official visual mark of the event and will be featured in all promotional materials.
“Young artists are encouraged to express themselves freely in interpreting the emotion, spirit, and community behind each event,” said Stephen Malbon. “I am privileged to lead this effort on behalf of PBJG. My passion lies in making golf more inclusive and engaging for young people, and art is a natural way to help us do just that.”
PBJG Board Chair Ryan Hansen added, “Connecting our association with young, local artists is something I’m especially proud of. Our foundation is rooted in golf, but the sport has wide-reaching cultural appeal. This series allows us to reach more youth and celebrate their talents in fresh, meaningful ways.”
Each work of art will be professionally transferred to canvas and displayed at PBJG events. Later this year, the original pieces will be auctioned at one of our major fundraising events. Proceeds from the sale will support the continued growth of the Artist Series—with 50% of the funds going directly into a college savings fund for each participating young artist.
