Favorite professional golfer and why: Lydia Ko is one of my biggest inspirations. She’s an amazing player and is always so kind. I had the chance to talk to her briefly and watch her practice, and it was a great experience. The way she plays and carries herself on and off the course is something I really look up to. One day, I hope to play at that level and continue to improve just like she has.
Favorite professional athlete (non-golf) and why: Outside of golf, my favorite athlete is Steph Curry. My family is huge Warriors fans, and what he’s done to support junior golf through the Underrated Tour is amazing. I’m really excited to be playing in his tour this summer. Plus, I can’t wait to watch the Warriors in the playoffs this year!
Tell us a little about yourself, why you play in PBJG events, and your long-term golf goals (150 words or less): I’m Hazel Hooper, a 13-year-old golfer in the 7th grade. I play in PBJG events because they give me the chance to see my friends, play on great courses in the Pebble Beach area, and enjoy affordable events. My goal is to play college golf and eventually make it to the LPGA. These events help me learn, improve, and grow as a golfer.
Favorite PBJG tournament memory (75 words or less): My favorite Pebble Beach Junior Golf memory was playing in a pro-am with Malia Nam. She was super nice and an awesome player! The best part? Our team won the event, and we all got massage guns as prizes! Definitely one to remember!

On the course, I calculate distances and decide the best strategy for each shot. In math, I break down problems step by step to find the solution. Both require focus and careful thinking to make the right decisions.(75 words or less):
