FALL 2002 NEWSLETTER
Dear Junior Golfers,
Greetings! Hopefully all of you had a great summer with many opportunities to play golf. Please take a few minutes to read the fall newsletter and check out the back page for upcoming events.
THE SUMMER LESSON PROGRAM KICK-OFF at Rancho Caņada Golf Club, Sunday, June 2rd was very successful and a lot of fun for all involved. Approximately 380 junior golfers wrote their names down beside a list of 48 golf professionals at their respective courses on the Monterey Peninsula.

This summer the AT&T Pebble Beach Junior Golf Association began conducting "Skills Evaluation Clinics" as well as Instructional Clinics. In previous years we have divided each tournament field by age. Now they will be divided by skill level to make it equitable for all players and to encourage the spirit of competition. All junior golfers who wish to compete in our Junior Tournaments must complete a skills evaluation test. The next Skills Evaluation Clinic will be held, Saturday, September 28 at Rancho Caņada Golf Club at 3 PM. To sign up, please call the office at 625-1555.
With the leadership of our "Clinic Facilitator" Dave Johnson, Golf Professional at Rancho Caņada Golf Club, our newly developed Skills Evaluation Program and revised Instructional Clinics continues to be very successful.
Our sincere thanks to Bill Sendell, Head Golf Professional at Spyglass Hill Golf Course and our Summer Tournament Director, who continues his fantastic job of making sure each tournament is well run and enjoyed by all.
We would like to thank the Peter Hay Golf Course, Rancho Caņada Golf Club, Del Monte Golf Course, The Golf Course at Quail Lodge, Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Course, Carmel Valley Ranch, Monterey Pines Golf Course, Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Poppy Hills Golf Course and Spyglass Hill Golf Course for hosting the "Summer Tournaments".
